CentOS Project Sends Out End-of-Life Reminders

The CentOS Project has recently issued reminders regarding the end-of-life dates for CentOS Linux 7 and CentOS Stream 8. The clock is ticking with just over a year left to transition from these versions, so the open-source project strongly suggests planning ahead now.

CentOS Linux 7 will reach end-of-life on 30 June 2024, while CentOS Stream 8 will stop producing new builds after 31 May 2024. This aligns with the expected feature completion of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10, as CentOS Stream serves as the upstream development for RHEL.

Upgrade Now for Continued Support

If you are currently using CentOS Linux 7, it is highly recommended to upgrade to a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 or 9-based distribution within the next year to ensure continued support. Detailed information and updates can be found on CentOS.org.
